Rabbinical Services for Non Members

Policy​ ​for​ ​rabbinical​ ​services​ ​for​ ​non-Hill​ ​Havurah​ ​members 
 
 
GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS: 
 
Upon receiving a request for Rabbi Hannah to perform a life-cycle event for a non-Hill Havurah member, we will: 
  1. Thank them for their call and encourage the non-member to consider joining Hill Havurah 
  2. Emphasize the need for our Rabbi to focus her time and energies on our membership 
  3. Services for non-members are at the Rabbi’s discretion depending on her existing Hill Havurah responsibilities 
  4. During a regular Hill Havurah event, the non-member family will pay a fee directly to the Rabbi and will also make a suggested donation to the Rabbi’s discretionary fund. 
  5. Outside of Hill Havurah regular events, the family covers any fees related to the event as well as a fee directly to the Rabbi and suggested donation to the Rabbi’s discretionary fund.

- Please note Hill Havurah has the discretion to reset these fees for each fiscal year as appropriate.
- The above does not include the possibility of an additional space rental fee which is at the sole cost of the non -member.
- If the person/family/couple joins the Havurah prior to the event, no fees are charged. If however, the family/couple/individual is not ready to commit to becoming a HH member at the time, Hill Havurah will: 
- waive the membership fee for the remainder of the fiscal year if the family decides to join during that fiscal year and if the fiscal year is at least half over, or 
- reduce the membership fee by 1/2 for the remainder of that fiscal year if the fiscal year is not yet 1/2 way complete.
