Governance
Hill Havurah is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit
organization and is a member congregation of
the National Havurah Committee and the Capitol Group Ministry.
Hill Havurah is governed by a Board elected
annually by members.
This all-volunteer board includes members
diverse in terms of professional and personal
attributes, and the types of Hill Havurah
programs with which they are likely to be
affiliated. The board represents our many
varied family and single household
configurations.
You can meet our board HERE, and you can read our By-Laws HERE.
The board is supported by the work of several committees:
- Adult Education
- Education (Youth)
- Communications and Membership
- Chesed
- Fundraising
- Governance and Finance
- Religious Services
- Space
- Tikkun Olam/Tzedek (Justice)
Joining a committee is a great way to become more involved in Hill Havurah, and help lead us during this exciting period of growth. If you're interested in joining a committee, please email Board Chair Marlene Singer at marlene@hillhavurah.org to let her know.
