Start your Shabbat morning with some meditation and Torah study -- from the comfort of your own couch. This month we are fortunate to have a special guest leader, Linda Holtzman, a Reconstructionist rabbi in Philadelphia. She is currently the acting director of student life and rabbinic formation at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and the rabbi of the Tikkun Olam Chavurah, a community dedicated to spiritual social justice work.

More about Rabbi Linda Holzman

Linda Holzman has been on the board and the rabbinic council of Jewish Voice for Peace, and she has been actively involved with the New Sanctuary Movement, POWER (a Philadelphia social justice group), Heeding God’s Call to work against gun violence, and Interfaith Power and Light working to slow climate change. She founded the Reconstructionist Chevra Kadisha of Philadelphia in the early 1990’s, a group that has been preparing dead bodies for burial in a traditional yet progressive Jewish manner ever since.
