Special Chizuk Kabbalat Shabbat Service & Potluck Dinner
Friday, May 24, 2024 • 16 Iyar 5784
6:30 PM - 8:30 PMYou are joyfully invited to join the Hill Havurah Chizuk Class of 5784 as they affirm their decisions to become adult members of the Jewish community. While confirmation is a long-standing tradition in many Jewish communities for tenth grade students, the teens in our community have chosen to call their ritual Chizuk, or Strengthening, highlighting the strength of their self-motivation and excitement for their Jewish journeys.
Please join us for a Kabbalat Shabbat service on Friday, May 24th, from 6:30-7:30 pm, followed by a vegetarian/pescatarian potluck dinner celebration, at Reformation (212 East Capitol St., NE).
The Chizuk students will share their own torah throughout the service, and we will bless them as a community on their way. We are so excited to have the opportunity to learn from these young adults, showering them with blessings, and celebrating mitzvot, Torah, Jewish community together!
