Robyn Helzner, a stunning vocalist, a vivid storyteller and a musical delight, brings a life-long appreciation of the power of folk music to resonate across cultural boundaries to the Hill Havurah. On Sunday, October 21 at 4pm , Robyn will share stories, photos, video and music to explore the extraordinary history of the Jewish communities in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Kaifeng, and traces their emergence as the fastest growing Jewish region in the world, today. Robyn served for six years as the Cantor for the United Jewish Congregation of Hong Kong and has worked with congregations in Shanghai and Tokyo She currently serves as the Cantorial Soloist at Temple Sinai and at Sixth and I Historic Synagogue in Washington, DC. Please join Robyn for an evening of a perfect blend of culture, food, music, education and entertainment!
