Havdalah and Selichot Service
Join Rabbi Hannah and the Havurah Ensemble for a musical, reflective Havdalah and Selichot service. We'll re-enter the High Holiday season through melody, dressing the Torah, and thinking through our past year. Light refreshments will be served.
Pre-Rosh Hashanah Pop-up in The Park
An outdoor event for young families. Come sing, hear the shofar, do holiday crafts, and eat apples and honey with Rabbi Hannah and Laurie Solnik! Bring blankets, chairs, friends, and family. Recommended for little kids and those who love them!

Rosh Hashanah Morning Service
Welcome the New Year with Rabbi Hannah, Michael Allen, and the Havurah Ensemble. Babysitting will also be available during the service (registration required). Sermon given by Rabbi Hannah. High Holidays for Tots/Babysitting
During Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur morning services, Hill Havurah offers a special High Holiday experience for children ages 6 months to 5 years old — exclusively for Hill Havurah members. This is not just babysitting; under the warm and creative guidance of Emma Velinsky, little ones will enjoy age-appropriate stories, songs, crafts, and playful activities that introduce the spirit and joy of the High Holidays in a way toddlers can understand.
Tashlich
Sing, reflect, and symbolically let go of the past year at the Anacostia River with Rabbi Hannah and Michael Allen. Sermon given by Rabbi Hannah.

Move into the Day of Atonement with Rabbi Hannah, Student Rabbi Lev, Michael Allen, and the Havurah Ensemble.
Yom Kippur Morning Service

Afternoon Meditation
Join Rabbi Hannah for some mindfulness in the middle of Yom Kippur. We’ll take time for guided meditation, silence, and sharing in an effort to support our teshuvah, our return to our best selves.
Afternoon Learning: Book of Jonah Experience
Join Student Rabbi Lev for some learning in the middle of Yom Kippur. We’ll explore the Book of Jonah and reflect as a group.
Yizkor & Ne'ilah
Join Rabbi Hannah, Student Rabbi Lev, Michael Allen, and the Havurah Ensemble to lift up the memories of our loved ones with Yizkor at 5:30, followed by Ne’ilah, our final service of Yom Kippur, at 6pm. Sermon given by Student Rabbi Lev. Join us for a community break-fast following the service!
