Another Wonderful Lag B'Omer Picnic
Again this year we lucked out with the weather for our annual Lag B'Omer picnic, Monday evening in Providence Park. There was an ample array of food and beverages (alcoholic and non-), and good spirits all around. The kids particularly enjoyed toasting marshmallows, toy archery sets, and kite flying. It was so nice that so many of you were able to join us.
A Memorable Community Seder
It was great to have so many people (more than 100) join us for our annual community (2nd) seder on Thursday night.
Big thank yous to our fearless leaders, Rabbi Hannah and Michael Allen, and everyone else who participated so heartily.

A Fabulous Purim Party for All Ages!
It was wonderful to have so many people (more than 200!) join us for Monday night's Purim party at City-State Brewing. It was multifaceted fun for all ages, featuring: the megillah reading (kol hakavod to Michael Allen, Laurie Solnik, and Yosh Halberstam!); a spirited Purim spiel, "We Don't About Haman: An Encanto Purim Tale" (kol hakavod to Dan Rogger, Keiana Mayfield, Chris Jaikaran, and Sheldon Harris!); a Purim Tzedakah Cake/Pie Raffle; crown making, grogger making, and activity sheet stations; an abundance of eye catching costumes; a wide variety of hamantaschen and other yummy food; and the finest beer DC has to offer.

Fun-Filled Hanukkah Celebrations
We were so glad that on Sunday so many families with young children were able to attend our indoor Pre-Hanukkah Gathering, highlighted by arts and crafts, dreidels and gelt, homemade latkes with a variety of toppings and sides, and songs and stories.
And on Monday night, despite the nippy weather, well more than 150 people of all ages attended our outdoor Annual Capitol Hill BID Community Menorah Lighting & Hill Havurah Hanukkah Celebration. Among the highlights were the latkes, jelly donuts, and hot chocolate, the Havurah Harmonists, kids dancing to "Sevivon, Sov, Sov, Sov," and a spectacular fire dancing/eating/breathing performance by Kinetic Spinners.
