The webinar will feature the Alliance’s new Executive Director, Terrance Staley, who will discuss the organization’s history as a positive force for positive change in the community. Then, in conversation with two youths, Mr. Staley will explore how they overcame challenges and developed the resilience and moral fortitude to rehabilitate and reintegrate into contemporary society.

The webinar will take place on June 27th from 7:00-8:00 pm. Participants can register here: https://capitolhill.helpfulvillage.com/events/9147.

Founded in 1991 the Alliance of Concerned Men has been a leader on preventing and interrupting youth crime and gun violence. Its three principles are (1) every individual has infinite worth and dignity, (2) every individual harbors a desire to make a positive contribution to society, and (3) it takes a multifaceted strategy to change attitudes and values essential to leading humane and productive lives. Among the Alliance’s current activities is Cure the Streets, a violence interruption program aimed at preventing crime in DC through outreach efforts and in cooperation with the DC Attorney General.
