Covid-19: A View from the Community

Wednesday, June 10, 2020 18 Sivan 5780

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Hill Havurah presents an hour-long action-oriented Zoom panel discussion on how Covid-19 is impacting under-served (i.e., mainly black and brown) populations in DC.

Panelists will include: Maurice Cook, Founder and Executive Director of Serve Your City DC and leader of the Ward 6 Mutual Aid Network; Ambrose Lane, Jr., Director of DC's Health Alliance Network and Ward 7 community activist; and Clayton Rosenberg, Chief of Staff of the Alliance of Concerned Men and a violence interrupter.

This is an opportunity to hear how Covid-19 is affecting many of our neighbors, how local and community-based efforts are mitigating the damage done to these citizens, and how we can contribute to improving conditions for so many adversely affected by the pandemic. This discussion will build on our April and May interfaith conversations with Mount Moriah Baptist Church, led by Rabbi Hannah and Pastor Dalton. You need not have participated in any of the previous discussions to be a part of this one!
