Hill Havurah participates in the Capitol Hill Group Ministry's Annual Thanksgiving Basket Program, which provides needy families with traditional holiday meal ingredients they may not be able to afford.  Please start gathering ingredients for this worthy program and stay tuned for drop-off information.  We'll coordinate the delivery to the Group Ministry for distribution a week before the holiday.

Baskets can include:
* canned vegetables (string beans, peas and carrots, beets, etc.) 
* canned yams or fresh equivalent
* boxed stuffing and biscuit mix
* bagged rice
* canned cranberry sauce
* onions
* jarred applesauce
* a $20 Safeway gift card to purchase meat of choice

Please place the Safeway card in an envelope. You can include a note wishing the recipients a Happy Thanksgiving and you can optionally decorate the grocery bags, or a box, or use an actual basket.

Feel free to alter the ingredients from the list, but please avoid perishable foods other than onions, potatoes, etc. and please seek out healthy alternatives where possible.
